UAE Wins Gold Medal in Macao
The Emirates Philatelic Association (EPA) participated in the Macao 2018 Asian International Stamp Exhibition held from 21- 24 September 2018. The exhibitors from 25 countries of Asia and Australasia participated in the show.
EPA participants in exhibition won a number of laurels for their entries. Mr. Abdulla M. T. Khoory won Gold medal for his exhibit “Abu Dhabi Trucial States to the UAE”. Mr. Ahmad bin Eisa Alserkal won Large Vermeil medal for “Abu Dhabi Stamps 1963-1973” and Vermeil medal for “Postal History Study of Airmail from Iraq 1919-1945”. Mr. Muhammad Javaid won Large Vermeil medal for “UAE Postal History 1972-2000”.
Mr. Nasser Bin Eisa Alserkal won Silver medal for his exhibit “Dubai Stamps”. Mr. Ummer Farook Silver medal for “Mahatma Gandhi”. Mr. Vasanth Kumaran Ganesan won Silver Bronze medal in youth exhibit for “UAE National Day”. Mr. Abdul Karim Sabri won Silver Bronze medal for his literature exhibit “Hobby Magazine for Stamps and Coins”.
Mr Omar Mohammed Ahmad was National Commissioner and Mr. Muhammad Javaid and Ali Abdulrahman Ahmad attended exhibition from the UAE.
