His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi

Born on July 6, 1939, HH Sheikh Sultan completed his elementary, preparatory and secondary education in Sharjah, Kuwait and Dubai. His Highness joined Cairo University, Egypt, and obtained Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Agricultural Engineering in 1971. In 1985, His Highness became Doctor of Philosophy with Distinction in History, Exeter University, United Kingdom. In 1999, he became Doctor of Philosophy in political Geography of the Gulf, Durham University, United Kingdom. 

His Highness has obtained many Honorary Certificates and Awards. He also held and is still holding positions at several prestigious scientific and cultural organizations. His Highness has established a number of educational, social, economic and cultural organizations. In addition, His Highness has edited a number of books on history, geography and culture of the Arab World.

His Highness’ achievements have covered several areas, including commerce, industry and agriculture, conservation of the national heritage, fostering culture, arts and science and espousing of social causes.
