To commemorate the gifted winners and exalt their creative paintings Emirates Post issued four stamps carrying the winners’ paintings to optimize the UAE world wide and illustrate the government’s efforts in encouraging children and enhancing their talents.
The four paintings belong to the following winners:
1- Hatem bin Fares Al Daheri, 14 years old, Al Hili Application School – Al Ain
2- Amna Jasim Al Bloushi, 17 year old, Umm Al Mu’menin Secondary school-fujeirah
3- Fahd Khalid Al Habsi, 11 year old, Al Ain Typical School – Al Ain
4- Hana Mohamed Saeed, 12 years old, Abu Jarah School – Ajman
The UAE children tackled a variety of subjects in their paintings such as the different characteristics of the natural environment in the UAE, in addition to other sketches sending a message of amity and peace to the children all over the world.
In line with the constructive cooperation between the government sectors, Emirates Post also issued three stamps to mark Sheikha “Latifa Bin Mohammed Award” for Childhood Creativity” and to appreciate her efforts in encouraging children and youngsters.
One of the stamps bears the prize log, while the other two carry the paintings belonging to the following winners:
1-Abu Dllah Ridha Issaq Hasan Seid, 11 years old.
2- Yousef bin Hamad Al Sind, 12 uears old, from Dubai Center for Special Needs.
Emirates Post organized in coordination with the Ministry of Education a postage stamp design contest directed to the UAE school students for the academic year 2001/2002. The competition comes as part of Emirates Post’s keen drive to encourage students, to faster and develop their artistic activities, and to spotlight their creativity.
