The Fourth National Environment Day will be celebrated on the 4th February 2001 under the slogan:
“Development and Environment Integration not Collation”
This occasion highlights the importance of legislation and application of rules and procedures to satisfy the cultural and economic needs of development in the country. In fact, this has been based on improving the elements of natural environment and protection of biological diversity and heritage in the U.A.E. The environmental consideration should be in line with the policy of planning and development when planning and establishing new projects take place. This would satisfy the needs and ambitions of present ot achieve the needs and ambitions of future.
The environment around the world has been changing dynamically over the years. The increase in human population has also increased the pressures on our environment. It therefore becomes important for all of us to know and learn about ways to protect our environment and safe guard the erosion and exploitation of the same with a view to make our world a better place to life.
