Municipalities and Env. week

To achieve the role of the United Arab Emirates Municipalities in improving the Arab Town and to comply with the policy of the Secretariat General Council to provide the services to the towns of the Country for its promotion and maintenance, to support the co-ordination and the reaction existing between the Municipalities bodies and the inhabitants, to celebrate the anniversary of the Arab Towns Organization, and to participate the event of the Arab Towns Day on 15th of March every year under the topic of "FOR A BETTER TOWN".

To achieve all these aims, to face all the environmental difficulties caused by the advanced technology in all aspects, to maintain the balance and safety of the environment and to use the renewable environmental resources which leads to a better life for coming generations.

For all this, the Municipalities celebrate on the 15th of March every year the Municipalities and Environment Week. The first week was celebrated on March 1981. This year, the Municipalities celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Municipalities and Environment Week which meets the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Arab Towns Organisation.

The aim of the week is to create co-operation and co-ordination between all concerned parties in the country on all official and public levels to emphasize new civilised motives to help maintaining the advanced and bright level of the Towns of the United Arab Emirates.
