How buying, delivery, returns and selling through the association work.

Buying

  • Prices are in UAE dirhams and are shown on each piece.
  • You pay by card through Stripe. Members may also pay all or part from their balance.
  • Most pieces are one of a kind. A piece is yours once the payment is confirmed; if two people pay for it at once, the second is refunded in full.
  • After paying you receive a private link to follow your order. It works for 180 days.

Delivery

  • Registered post to the UAE, the Gulf and the rest of the world. The price for your country is shown before you pay.
  • A courier hands the order to you in person, inside the UAE, where this choice is offered.
  • You may collect the order from the association free of charge. We call you when it is ready.
  • Duties or taxes charged by the country you live in are paid by you. We declare every parcel truthfully on the customs form.

Returns

  • You may return a piece within 14 days of receiving it, in the same condition.
  • You pay the return postage, unless we sent the wrong piece, it was not as described, or it was damaged on the way.
  • We refund once the piece is back with us: what you paid by card goes back to the card, and what you paid from your balance goes back to the balance.

Authenticity

  • Every piece is checked by the association before it goes on sale. Rare pieces are also approved by a second board member.
  • If a certificate from a recognised expert shows that a piece is not genuine, we refund the full price and the postage. Tell us within one year of delivery.

Selling through the association

  • Members hand in pieces at the association and receive a signed receipt with the price, their minimum and the association’s share.
  • The association’s share is the rate on the day of hand-in. It does not change later.
  • The association keeps a piece for up to six months. You may ask for it back after the first month.
  • After six months we ask you to collect what has not sold. A piece not collected within twelve months of that notice becomes a gift to the association.
  • If a piece is lost or damaged in the association’s care, the association pays you the agreed value.
  • Your share reaches your balance 21 days after the buyer receives the piece, once the return period has passed.
  • From your balance you may ask for a bank transfer (above the minimum the board sets), spend it in the shop, renew your membership or give it to the association. Two board members approve each transfer.
